One agreed price, door to door
Prague to Karlštejn is roughly 30 km, about 1 hour on the road. The fare is a fixed 750 CZK one way, and it is all inclusive: motorway tolls, the vignette, energy, luggage handling, onboard Wi-Fi and bottled water. No meter, no surcharge for traffic, nothing added on arrival. The same figure applies whether you start from a Prague hotel or from Václav Havel Airport — and it applies the same way in either direction: booking this as your trip out to Karlštejn or as your return trip back to Prague is each its own one-way fare at this price, not a round trip covered by a single payment.
Why people go to Karlštejn
Charles IV built it in 1348 to hold the crown jewels and the imperial regalia, and it still looks the part — a stepped fortress climbing a wooded ridge above the Berounka. It is the single most visited castle in the country, which is exactly why arriving by car matters: the train leaves you at the bottom of a two-kilometre uphill walk through souvenir stalls, and the last comfortable connection back is earlier than most people plan for.
Worth knowing before you go
Book the Chapel of the Holy Cross tour weeks ahead — it is capped at a few dozen visitors a day and sells out. Everything else can be walked in without a reservation.
Why not the train or the bus
Public transport to Karlštejn generally means getting yourself and your luggage across Prague to the right station first, then a timetable that decides your day for you, then whatever is left between the station and where you are actually going. A private transfer collects you at your door and leaves you at the address you asked for. On a route this length that difference is usually an hour or more, and all of the hassle.
No charging stop needed
At 30 km this route sits comfortably inside the car's range, so the journey runs straight through with no charging stop in either direction.
The vehicle
A 100% electric Škoda Enyaq SUV, unmarked and without a taxi roof sign. The boot takes two large suitcases plus two cabin bags comfortably; tell us in the notes if you have more and we will confirm the fit before your date. Onboard Wi-Fi, chargers at every seat and chilled bottled water are standard, and your driver speaks English.
Booking and payment
Nothing is charged when you book. Payment is by card on a SumUp terminal in the vehicle, or in advance by secure link if your company needs it that way. We are not a VAT payer, so the figure you are given is final. For a return trip, a wait-and-return, or an address well outside the centre, add it to the booking notes and we will confirm the adjusted fixed price before you commit.
