Getting there without the bus
Český Krumlov sits roughly 175 kilometres south of Prague, a little under three hours by road. Public transport means a coach to a car park on the edge of town, then a walk in with your luggage over cobbles that were not designed for wheeled suitcases. A private transfer takes you as close to your accommodation as the town’s restricted centre allows, and the driver knows which of those approaches actually works.
One-way or full day
Two shapes make sense here. A one-way transfer if Krumlov is a stop on a longer route — many guests continue to Salzburg, Linz or Vienna afterwards, and we can quote that leg too. Or a full day from Prague, where the nine-hour package at 9,000 CZK covers the drive down, five or six hours in the town and the return, all within the included 240 km.
On a day trip the car stays with you. Coats, shopping and camera bags live in the boot, and you are not carrying anything up to the castle.
What fits in a day
Leaving Prague at 8am puts you in Krumlov before 11. The castle tour and the Baroque theatre want a booking in advance during summer. The old town itself is small enough to walk in an afternoon, and the view from the castle tower over the Vltava bend is the one everyone comes for. A 5pm departure gets you back to Prague around 8pm.

Stops on the route
České Budějovice and the Hluboká nad Vltavou chateau are both close to the road and add perhaps ninety minutes if you want them. Agree any stop when you book so it goes into the fixed quote rather than becoming an extra.
Vehicle and charging
A 100% electric Škoda Enyaq with Wi-Fi, chargers and bottled water. On a return day trip a fast-charging stop of around 30 minutes may be needed; it is normally scheduled while you are in the town, so it does not eat into your sightseeing.
